From the Founder, Brian Mazza 12/2

Welcome to the inaugural edition of the HPLT Sweat Equity Newsletter. We’re not your typical newsletter in the “better-for-you” space. If you’ve attended one of our Performance Summits, you know we bring together top-tier experts for a high-energy, three-day experience packed with valuable insights. Just like the summit, we’ll cover fitness, nutrition, interviews, and business topics—all designed to help you perform at your best.

In this first issue, I want to talk about the importance of getting the small things right. These small actions may not seem glamorous—they often go unnoticed and rarely earn praise—but they are essential for long-term success. Today, social media encourages us to seek instant validation for every healthy decision we make: whether it’s sharing a picture of a nutritious snack, posting about a stretch session, or tracking a 3-mile run. These are all positive habits that yield real benefits, but before social media, they were just part of a daily routine that helped people stay on track for sustainable success (when practiced consistently).

The small wins—those little actions done right—often get overlooked in favor of the bigger, more attention-grabbing accomplishments. With algorithms changing and attention spans shrinking faster than I can change my running shoes, it’s easy to overlook the value of consistent, incremental progress. The reality is, not everyone has the discipline, knowledge, or habits to stay on course. In fact, I’d argue that 99% of people don’t. So, how do we change that? How can we build a new approach to stacking small wins that not only lead to success but help us sustain that success over time without feeling overwhelmed to tell everyone on social. The goal is to keep cooking small wins in the dark, keep sharpening your tool when nobody is watching, and building that self trust daily.

My aim with this newsletter is to offer more than just someone’s personal take on how they’ve “figured it out” and why you should follow their path. Instead, we want to bring together experienced individuals who can share their wins and losses, backed by data and real-world experience, to help you build a more sustainable, steady approach to life.

I hope you enjoy the journey. The harsh truth is: you only get one shot at this.
